After a devastating fire in 2010, N-Compass was engaged by the Glendowie Primary School BOT to project manage this re-development project, which was successfully completed in early 2013.
Following a creative masterplanning and concept design process, the scope of the project included the reinstatement of a classroom block severely damaged by fire, the construction of two new blocks comprising 16 classrooms and the re-modelling of other existing spaces to create a mini-hall and support facilities, with a total value of approximately $5.3M. These new classroms were designed in accordance with the Ministry's new MLE requirements.
N-Compass managed the relationships and communication between the school Board of Trustees, representatives from the Ministry's property team, the Ministry insurance representatives and the surrounding neighbours. We provided a comprehensive project management role and directly managed the governance group, stakeholder relationships, project reporting, financial management and administration of the construction contract.
